Portal Tools
Aggregate Summary Tool
Individual healthcare workforce providers that the user turns on can be view in aggregate through this tool. The total number of the chosen providers (s) can be viewed when the user scrolls over the county. The numbers automatically re-aggregate when additional providers are added or removed.
Identify Tool
Additional information about healthcare facilities, community programs and healthcare education sites can be viewed through this tool. After turning on the data, the user can select one or more items to identify additional information which appears on the scene and can be downloaded onto the user’s own computer for free.
Service Area Tool
Many users need to analyze an area based upon the actual travel time or distance based to or from a point on the map, such as a clinic or a patient location, etc., so we built this one-of-a-kind interactive tool that create a service area based upon the user’s input. Furthermore, the tool can analyze the number of providers/clinics within its service area boundary and/or select those zipcodes or counties touching the boundary to be downloaded by the user for free.
Routing Tool
Being able to interactively know which healthcare facility or city is closest to a patient is now possible through this tool. The user chooses a starting point and end point and the tool automatically calculates the drive time and distance. Multiple routes can be compared instantly for free

What Do You Get In A Portal?
Using our existing mapping portal as a template—complete with our 15 provider-level datasets, healthcare workforce, demographic, health determinants/indicators and nine mapping tools—we’ll work with you to create a customized mapping portal to help your stakeholders and staff visualize solutions to healthcare issues.
Cost and Timeframe
Customized portals start at $15,000 with an annual $4,000 maintenance fee for annual data updating and software. A portal takes approximately 60-90 days for development and testing before a final product is launched.

In 2018, NCAHD created a unique specialty physician demand model using nationally recognized datasets to create FTE demand based upon age-group patient utilization patterns normalized by specialty physician work productivity values. The SPSDT portal provides county level analysis for 13 different specialties.
This portal was created for those interested in a “NCAHD-lite” version of our portal that will integrate much less of our existing data with more of their data but have access to our tools and maintenance framework.
